What loading and securing actually involves
Our wheelchair accessible vehicles load from the rear on a fold out ramp. You are wheeled in facing forward and positioned in the designated space. There is no transfer into a car seat and no lifting, which is the part most people are asking about when they call.
Once positioned, the chair is secured with a four point restraint anchored to floor tracks, and you are fitted with a separate lap and sash belt. The two systems do different jobs: one holds the chair, the other holds you. A driver who is not willing to fit both is not a driver we send.
There is seating alongside the wheelchair position for a carer or support worker, rather than a seat behind where you cannot see or reach each other. If you travel with a support animal, mention it at booking so the driver knows before arrival.
We work with NDIS participants and Taxi Transport Subsidy Scheme cardholders. If you are using TTSS, have your card ready at the end of the trip.

Pricing
How the fare works
Trips run on the NSW regulated taxi fare structure. Tolls and the passenger service levy are itemised separately on the meter and on your receipt.
If you hold a Taxi Transport Subsidy Scheme card, present it at the end of the trip and the subsidy is applied to the metered fare in the usual way.
There is no additional charge for loading, securing the chair, or for a carer travelling with you. For NDIS participants, we can provide itemised invoices for claiming.
Request a fixed quoteWheelchair questions
Do I have to get out of my wheelchair?
No. Our accessible vehicles load from the rear on a ramp and you travel in your own chair. There is no transfer into a car seat and no lifting involved.
How is the wheelchair secured?
The chair is anchored with a four point restraint system fixed to floor tracks in the vehicle. You are then fitted with a separate lap and sash belt. Both are used on every trip, not one or the other.
Can my carer travel with me?
Yes, at no additional charge, and seated alongside the wheelchair position rather than behind it. Let us know at booking how many people are travelling so we allocate a vehicle with the seating.
Do you accept the Taxi Transport Subsidy Scheme?
Yes. Have your TTSS card ready at the end of the trip and the subsidy is applied against the metered fare. Bring the card itself, as the subsidy cannot be applied without it.
Do you work with NDIS participants?
Yes. We carry NDIS participants regularly, including recurring appointment bookings, and can provide itemised invoices suitable for claiming against transport funding.
How far ahead should I book a wheelchair accessible taxi?
As far ahead as you reasonably can. Accessible vehicles are a limited resource across every Sydney fleet, and morning appointment slots are the busiest. Recurring trips can be set up as a standing booking so you are not calling each week.
